i.  Facelifts

The anatomical areas that a facelift improve are the midface, jawline and the neck. Surgical face lifting techniques are done through incisions that are easily concealed and in some patients a short scar technique may also be suitable. The procedure may be performed under local anaesthetic and sedation or under a general anaesthetic. Other procedures like a blepharoplasty may also be performed at the same time.

ii.  Blepharoplasty (eyelid tuck)

Lower eyelids with age lose their tone and bags become more obvious. The eyelid also looks vertically long as the midface fatty tissue descends and tear troughs develop. The youthfulness can be restored by lower eyelid tuck with removal or repositioning of the fatty tissue in the bags over the cheek bones. The outer corner of the eyelid may also need to be tightened if the lids are very lax. Some patients may benefit more from fat injection to the midface over the cheek bones rather than a direct operation on the lower eyelids

Upper eyelids with aging develop a hooded appearance. The upper eyelid crease gets hidden. The problem may also be further exaggerated by low-lying eyebrow. A youthful curve of the eyelid brow interface can be created by the use of fat grafting. In some patients the upper eyelid is so excessive that it may obstruct vision. This can be corrected at the same time.
